Indigenous Malaysian cuisine has been influenced by Chinese, Indian, Thai and many other cultures to produce an entirely new and rich cuisine of their own. Many Malay dishes revolve around a Rempah, which is a spice paste or mix similar to an Indian Masala. Rempahs are made by grinding up fresh and/or dried spices and herbs to create a spice paste which is then sauteed in oil to bring out the aromas.

Once you step inside Taste of Morocco, you are transported to Morocco.  There are wall murals that help recreate the Moroccan landscape along with Moroccan pottery and other art.  The lush pillows and chairs along with the deep maroon and gold colors make you feel like you are in a palace with everything awaiting your orders.  The atmosphere is further enhanced by the Moroccan music playing in the background. 
Taste of Morocco features traditional Moroccan cuisine including appetizers like Chicken Bastilla; some guests call it "a plate from heaven".  They also feature entrees like lamb, fish, and vegetarian dishes.  Special dishes include Royal Couscous, and Merguez Tagine. Of course you can have traditional Eggplant Salad, Baba Ghannouge, and Hummos, as well as Lentil Soup. 
Taste of Morocco serves a special lunch menu, has the capacity for 150 pp for large parties, and caters as well!  It's a great place for birthdays!
Chef Hassan has been mentioned in many newspapers as the first native Moroccan chef in the DC area to make delicious Moroccan food.
